Established in 2005 in Oceanside, NY, Once a Sundae relocated to the beautiful village of Rockville Centre, NY in August 2015.
Our shop is adorned with whimsical farmhouse decor in a soft, inviting palette complete with a child size ice cream bar! We specialize in unique birthday parties that are perfect for boys and girls ages 1-8!

Once Upon a Sundae gave our daughter the perfect birthday! The owner was very accommodating and gave us the customized party we were looking for! The children had so much fun doing crafts and making sundaes!

What a wonderful place! We had a private playdate/birthday celebration for my son and his friends. The children had such a great time. We felt very comfortable and safe.

Celebrating a winter birthday in COVID is difficult but Once Upon a Sundae made it possible. We all felt safe with provider hand sanitizer and mask, cleaning of the play room, and a limit on guest. The staff were so attentive, kind, and everything was coordinated so well. The kids really enjoyed the activities (music, painting, free play, Elsa character and making sundaes). What save the day was we broke out Cake stand and the staff had A Cake stand we could use. Everything just came together so beautifully thanks to Once Upon a Sundae.

I just had my sons 3rd birthday here and I was surprised on how great it went. All of the kids were entertained and the staff were attentive to the kids at all times. I was headed to RVC from Brooklyn to visit my aunt and uncle and needed something to do with my 4 1/2 year old on her day off. I happened to google and found this adorable place. I’m so glad we went in because annmarie was extremely welcoming, nice, and my daughter had so much fun! The place was spotless, and so clean. She played for a little in the play area, then painted a cute picture frame that she can’t wait to put a picture in, and lastly she made her own sundae. We a great time and I’m so glad I found this hidden gem! If you are in the area and want somewhere fun for your toddler, stop in!!

I’ve been coming to this play place since I moved to Oceanside two years ago. Now we come weekly for open play sessions, painting, and ice cream sundaes. It’s a great place for us to be social and not have to worry about my son getting hurt. My son has every single arts and crafts project from this store, and asks constantly to come play. Not only is it CLEAN, the owner Annmarie and staff are absolute dolls. My son and his friends are IN LOVE WITH ONCE UPON A SUNDAE! We recently had his 4th birthday party here and they went above and beyond my expectations. Everything came out amazing. They made the party so effortless on my part and their attention to detail was exceptional. I also LOVE that it’s a nut free environment so I don’t have to worry about any nut allergies for myself or my son. This is by far the cleanest play place I’ve been to in Long Island. No rugs and ball pits to worry about germs. I cannot stop raving to my friends about this place!! Highly recommend to anyone with kids of all ages (we had 25 kids-mixed ages). I also recommend booking early. I booked 4 months out (I’m a planner) and they had very little left.

I absolutely love this gem of a Birthday Party & Indoor play space on our block in Rockville Centre. The excitement of the little ones coming down the street all dressed up for the themed parties is a sight to see. I stumbled across this place with my 3 year old son...They have open play... A great play area in the back with tons of toys... There were other boys his age so they kept each other busy while the parents did the usual parenting conversation. A great place for kids to socialize and parents to make new friends.. and trust me, that hasn't been easy being a single parent with a 3 year old.There's also an ice cream bar... Arts and craft area. So many different options.The owner, Anne Marie, is absolutely the nicest. She keeps the children engaged. A cheap alternative to a babysitter 🤣 It's not one of those commercialized places like BounceU... she also told me about the different events and activities they host throughout the year...I wish I found this place sooner... Can't wait to have my kids birthday party here... Definitely recommending this place to others.(Same review can be found on Yelp. 🤣🤣🤣. I'm not lazy.. I'm a single parent).

OUAS is the best place around to bring your little ones for socializing, play, crafting, or an unforgettable bday party. AnneMarie is wonderful with the kiddos and with all the new play space chains popping up on Long Island it’s nice to support a local, mom-owned place that goes above and beyond.

Our new favorite splay space! My son and I went to Once Upon a Sundae for some ice cream and a little play time. When we arrived it was close to 4pm, windy and cold. We got to the door and it was closed. As we looked inside and read the store hours, Ann Marie appeared, opened her doors and told us to come on in! She immediately served my son an ice cream and told me she's always there until 5 and happy to open when she see people wanting to come in. The space is clean and so kid friendly with such a variety of toys. She was so personable I felt like I had known her forever. While we were enjoying our ice cream she opened her doors once again for another family wanting to have an ice cream to celebrate their daughters 1st birthday. When we were leaving she didn't even charge us! We will definitely be back soon to visit Ann Marie and to have some more yummy fun!

We are a children’s character entertainment company and we have worked often with Once Upon a Sundae to provide characters for Birthdays and events! Once Upon a Sundae is the cutest venue and the owner, AnnMarie, is absolutely wonderful to work with. My favorite part of the venue is the child sized ice cream counter! The children feel so special and grown up sitting at a counter just for them. The parties are adorable and well organized; there are so many party theme options and AnnMarie is very accommodating. I’ve been to many parties and events here and they’ve all been amazing. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a party venue!

Everything was amazing from start to finish! The staff felt like family! I didn’t worry about a thing and actually enjoyed all the kids and guests! I wasn’t stressed even for a minute! Everything was clean, safe and fun! So much to do for the kids and everyone had a blast! Would highly recommend Once Upon a Sundae and we will definitely be back!

Great place for a toddler party. We played, painted a ceramic item, had pizza and than made an ice cream sundae. Staff was friendly and cool. Oh and the paint was EASY to come off with wipes.

Adorable ice cream shop, quite small but good for children’s party’s under 30 ish people, kids there had so much fun painting getting stick on tattoos having pizza and ice cream! Overall very adorable space for young children’s party. ❤️

Great place for a child's Birthday! The little ones Played, Painted, ate Pizza and had a Great Bowl of Ice Cream. With lotsa fixings, nuts, sprinkles, cookie crumbles, syrup and Whipped Cream, WOW! Staff was great, kept the flow moving without being in the way, very courteous and helpful!

We were here for a 4th birthday party and it didn't disappoint! My daughter had a blast playing in the back room, then doing arts and crafts, and finally making her own sundae. The owner was there and she was wonderful! Very easy-going and focused on ensuring everyone had a great time. I highly recommend this place, especially for a party!

Hosted my daughters 4th birthday party here and it was absolutely perfect. All of the boys and girls (ages 1-7) had a blast. The setup was even perfect for the adults to relax and enjoy themselves as well. I can't say enough good things about this place, especially the staff! Thank you!

Today was my daughter's 2nd birthday party at Once Upon A Sundae. I can not recommend them highly enough. Ann Marie (the owner) as well as her entire staff were amazing. Every detail of the party was perfect. They were a pleasure to work with from initial party planning through her event today. If you are looking for a great birthday party for kids and adults too, then look no further.

Fabulous place for children's birthday parties! I was very impressed with how wonderful the owner & other girls were at making the party for my granddaughter extra special. A very clean & well run business. The children painted wooden jewelry boxes and robot coin banks, very cute room in the back with all kinds of fun things for children to do. An ice cream bar with stools which is at the perfect height for the kids & they loved it. A fun time at "Once Upon A Sundae"!

My daughter and her friends enjoyed it very much, lots of things to do here. I can't say enough about this place! Amazing place amazing owner amazing workers ! My daughter has a Peanut allergy and I was so disappointed not being able to take her to regular ice cream places for a special treat ..this place came to the rescue ! Beautiful counters with stools and peanut /tree nut free icecream and toppings our new go to ! Very clean and amazing play area for little ones!!!

Love this place! I just had my daughter's 5th birthday party here and it was great from beginning to end. The owner and staff were attentive and engaged with the kids the whole time. They did nails, makeup and dress-up as well as make your own sundaes and decorating personalized aprons. The owner was so sweet and easy to work with. The space is adorable with plenty of room for the parents to sit comfortably while the kids played. I would highly recommend!

This place is awesome. I recently had my daughter's 4th birthday tea party there. The staff were very friendly and attentive to my guests and I. The activities were age appropriate and fun. The children enjoyed getting their nails and make up done. Reviewing good manners was incorporated into the party which was great. My four year old rates this as the best birthday party ever and I do too.
